We are thrilled to announce the launch of Overtime Athletics Las Vegas, led by our newest franchise owner, Mona Nikhanj!

Mona comes from a large, close-knit family and is a proud aunt to six nieces and nephews, as well as a proud stepmom to one. Kids and family have always been at the center of her life, and she has seen firsthand how connection, confidence, and a sense of belonging play a critical role in a child’s growth.

A lifelong athlete, Mona grew up playing school, college, and community sports including volleyball, basketball, soccer, and track. Through sports, she learned teamwork, resilience, discipline, and the importance of showing up for others—lessons that shaped her both personally and professionally, and that she is passionate about passing on to the next generation.

Professionally, Mona brings over 22 years of global experience, having lived and worked in multiple countries and held senior leadership roles across tech startups, Fortune 500 companies, and mid-sized organizations. Her background in strategy, partnerships, and team development—combined with an AI certification—has given her a unique perspective on the future kids are growing into. As technology and AI become more embedded in everyday life, Mona believes it is more important than ever for children to develop real-world skills through movement, leadership, teamwork, and face-to-face engagement.

After recently moving to Las Vegas, Mona noticed lower levels of youth engagement compared to other communities she’s lived in. Rather than seeing a challenge, she saw an opportunity—to help re-engage kids by creating positive, active environments where they can build confidence, friendships, and lifelong healthy habits.

Mona chose Overtime Athletics because its mission aligns perfectly with her values. OTA provides a safe, supportive space where kids can stay active, grow as leaders, and feel truly connected. Through partnerships with schools and local communities, Mona’s goal is to bring high-quality OTA programs to families across Las Vegas and help kids thrive—on and off the field.
