We’re excited to officially welcome Renu Abela as the newest Overtime Athletics Franchise Owner, launching Overtime Athletics Calgary!

Renu brings a lifelong passion for sport and active living. A multi-sport athlete herself, she was recognized as Best Female Athlete in Grade 12 and Best Basketball Player in Edmonton in the same year — achievements that reflect the discipline, teamwork, and resilience that continue to guide her today.

Academically and professionally, Renu brings an incredible foundation to Overtime Athletics. She holds degrees in Science and Business, has completed her MBA, and has formal training in Early Childhood Development. With 27 years of corporate leadership experience, she combines strong business execution with a deep understanding of child development and youth programming.

As a proud mom of two boys, Renu has coached and managed their teams and has seen firsthand the powerful role sport plays in building confidence, character, and lifelong healthy habits. That personal experience is what drew her to Overtime Athletics.
